Ambulance 255 is a 1916 Model T Ford. It has been meticulously restored and we have constructed a new body on an original chassis. The purpose of the ambulance is to tell the story of the volunteer drivers in World War One France and to promote the concept of volunteering among young people today.

The first driver of Ambulance 255 was Oscar Anthony Iasigi. He was an chemical engineering graduate from MIT who lived in Brooklyn, Massachusetts. Iasigi served in the American Field Service for ten months first in section 1 and later in section 8 as a sous chef (assistant chief)
